Hack Event
The Lindsay Institute for Innovations in Caregiving is pleased to announce the winners of its 5th annual “Caring for the Caregiver Hack” which took place the weekend of November 1-3, 2019 at Troutman Sanders, LLC in downtown Richmond, Virginia. Student teams from seven Virginia colleges and universities competed to develop technology tools to help caregivers maintain their physical and emotional well-being.
Virginia Tech’s winning entry, Omplace, is an app designed to help a primary caregiver provide better care by connecting them with secondary caregivers. Second place went to Virginia Commonwealth University, and the College of William & Mary took third. Read more about the 2019 Hack.
